Bangkok was the meeting point in Southeast Asia for the manufacturing community as 35,823 industrialists, including 120 groups of Business Delegations from 42 countries, attended “Manufacturing Expo 2010,” ASEAN’s #1 Exposition on Manufacturing and Processing Technologies during 24 – 27 June 2010. The trade visitors crowded the halls of Manufacturing Expo 2010 to conduct businesses with 1,300 exhibitors from 25 countries.
Full confidence in Thai market and its manufacturing industry was reflected in active participations of industrialists in every activity and feature of the show. The exhibition was bustling with technology enthusiasts and purchasing orders. The conference and seminar sessions were packed with industrialists looking to better their knowledge, sharper business competitiveness, and wider business network. Special features and activities were crowded by attendants who had their horizons expanded and new business potentials realized.
The success of Manufacturing Expo shines through in many dimensions. The resounding enthusiasm of the visitors who promise to come again for more next year. The record-breaking space pre-booking for next –year shows from the exhibitors. The undivided attentiveness and stimulating questions for speakers from the conference delegates.
As spoken by Ms. Nichapa Yoswee, Managing Director of Reed Tradex, the organizer of the show, in her speech during the Opening Ceremony, “Manufacturing Expo is the origin of many new strengths of the industry. All industrialists’ being in the show is the synergy of powerful strengths that are now taking the industry to another level and make it even stronger, the industry that we are proud of. And this is the event that we are proud of.“

Former Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Energy and Executive Director of Asian Disaster Perparedness Center, Dr.Bhichit Rattakul,
presided over and delivered a keynote speech on “Towards Becoming the Eco-Friendly Manufacturing Hub of ASEAN” which brought up the more and more emerging topic of the industry. He stressed that government and industrial sectors should develop national strategy plan to promote eco-friendly industries and products to enhance the country’s competitiveness in the world market. The ceremony was also well-attended by several important executives iin the industry, both domestic and overseas.
New business partnerships were forged in the one-one-one, face-to-face pre-appointed business meetings.
Manufacturing Expo will return again from 23 – 26 June 2011 at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand! In 2011, Manufacturing Expo will be co-located with NEPCON Thailand 2011, ASEAN’s #1 Electronic Parts Manufacturing Expo, one of the world-renowned NEPCON series of events. In addition to visiting the exhibition and its special features, the Minister also presided over the launch of “Enhancement of Mould and Die Industry Competitiveness” initiated by Thai-German Institute (TGI). |
